Dear Friends, Happy Fool's Day!

A man went into a bar in a high rise. He saw another man take a pill, take a drink, walk to the window and jump out. He flew around for a minute and zipped back into the bar.
As the amazed newcomer watched, the man repeated this twice more. Finally the man asked if he could have a pill. The flier said it was his last one. The man offered five hundred dollars to no avail, so he made a final offer of a thousand dollars. The man said that it was all he had on him.
The flier reluctantly gave in, took the cash, surrendered the pill, and turned back to the bar. The man took the pill, took a drink, went to the window, and jumped out only to fall to his death. The bartender walked over to the flier at the bar and, wiping a glass, said, "You sure are mean when you're drunk, Superman."

Happy April Fool's Day!

You're right Nate. Being a "coffee snob" isn't about being a snob, it's just about appreciating the details of coffee.

Being a coffee snob doesn't mean you're a coffee jerk ;-)

For me, it is a passion and obsession. I drink, sleep, live, breathe coffee. As a barista, I create art and educate customers and readers. I'm picky from the water, coffee (or espresso), origin, roast, grind, brewing method, and cup. Everything has to be the best quality or it's just not worth it. I will wake up earlier each morning if needed to brew coffee myself. If anyone else is to brew my coffee, I must know and trust them. "Coffee Snob"? I'll let you decide.

I've been accused of being a coffee snob simply for using a French press, refusing to drink instant., and for bringing my own vessel to work for my coffee. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone in the pursuit of a great cup and thanks SO much for your site! :D

with what I am learning I am on my way to coffee snob. Wish i could be snobbier if budget would let me. Once I got hooked on something stronger harder to go back so watch out when I get more knowledge and a taste of better stuff.
